February 22nd: Kids & teens need more godly mentors in their lives, now more than ever. On February 22, Glad Tidings Church Muncie will host the Legacy Coalition’s Grandparenting Summit Simulcast to help grandparents learn how to have a greater spiritual impact on their families. It will feature a variety of topics for grandparents, such as Building Family Unity, Loving Your Prodigal, Finding Purpose as a Grandparent, and several others. February 27th: Ricky Cottman, author of the book “In Colored Circles,” will present a free Black History Month program at the Henry County Historical Society 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27. Ricky’s program will focus on the contributions and experiences of black people throughout Henry County’s 200-year history. The historical society is located at 606 S. 14th St. in New Castle. March 1st: Divorce Care Support Group For those experiencing divorce or separation. 1pm at the Jar Ministry Center (920 W. Main St. Muncie). Childcare is provided.

March 7th: Healthy Communities of Henry County Annual Meeting at Henry County REMC celebrating all the programs that Healthy Communities did for the community in 2024 and what’s to come in 2025 from 11:30am-1pm. Keynote Speaker is Raina Maiga, Executive Director of Confront the Climate Crisis- a youth-led organization focused on environmental issues in Indiana. Lunch will be provided by Sweet Pea Catering. March 15th: Henry County Historical Society features a special webinar presented by Accredited Genealogist® and HCHS Co-Director Kaye Ford from 2-4pm. March 20th: Learn more about the mysterious disappearance of 9-year-old Catherine Winters on March 20, 1913, from the midday streets of New Castle at the Henry County Historical Society from 6-7:30pm. HCHS Co-Director Darrel Radford will walk you through several different theories. Catherine Winters was never found. This event is free and open to the public. April 9th: Cowan Elementary Kindergarten Enrollment. Please call Cowan Elementary at 765-289-7129 by March 14th for more information and to sign up for a time slot. Children must be five (5) years of age by August 1st.


April 27th: The Henry County Historical Society will host its 138th annual meeting Sunday, April 27, 2025. The event begins at 2 p.m. We will be celebrating the Grand Army of the Republic with speaker Ron Darrah from the Indiana Genealogical Society. The 2025 exhibit, Exploring the GAR in Henry County, opens. Election of HCHS Board Trustees is on the agenda. This event is free and open to the public.
